Giziibii RC&D is seeking funding for a new project.  It will build the capacity in the region for small farmers and families that want to process their home grown poultry.  

The Akeley/Paul Bunyan ATV Club is looking to update the Round River ATV trail at the Crow Wing River crossing. Through Enbridge’s Ecofootprint Grant Program, and with support from Giziibii RC&D, they hope to be able to extend the culvert that runs underneath Hwy 34, outside of Akeley, by 12 feet. This would keep riders out of harm's way, and will help prevent and stop more erosion from occurring. To learn more about this project, click here. 

Giziibii RC&D received $60,000 to complete an Environmental Education and Outreach project. Plans are to complete four educational events. The outreach portion includes contracting with a marketing consultant to assess our current use of social media outlets, develop a strategy to improve and implement the best ideas.
